Data Insights
Golfers using the Approach S62 report accuracy improvements of up to 30% when leveraging features like PlaysLike Distance and Green Contour Data. The Virtual Caddie's real-time club recommendations address one of golf's most critical decision points—club selection—and users consistently cite improved shot strategy and lower average scores as measurable outcomes. Extended battery life means you can track multiple rounds across a week without daily charging in smartwatch mode.
Usage Instructions
Begin by pairing the watch with the Garmin Golf mobile app to enable full functionality. During rounds, activate Virtual Caddie for club recommendations and rely on AutoShot to capture your performance automatically. Study course maps and hazard locations before approaching each shot to make informed decisions. The touchscreen allows quick navigation between hole views, scorecards, and shot history throughout your round.
Design & Material
The Approach S62 pairs a scratch-resistant black ceramic bezel with a durable black silicone band engineered for both golf and everyday wear. The design prioritizes function without sacrificing appearance—it operates as both a professional golf instrument and a refined everyday smartwatch.
- Black ceramic bezel resists scratching during active use and maintains a premium appearance over time
- Silicone band with textured grip ensures secure fit during full swings and repetitive motion
- Lightweight profile balances durability with all-day comfort for extended wrist wear
- Water-resistant construction tolerates splashes, rain, and humid course conditions
- Ergonomic wrist fit accommodates various arm sizes without adjustment tools required
- QuickFit technology allows band swaps in seconds for custom styling or activity-specific configurations
Final Verdict
The Approach S62 solves the central challenge faced by serious golfers: accessing detailed, actionable course data without abandoning smartwatch practicality. With 43,000 courses mapped globally, a Virtual Caddie that responds to actual course conditions, and battery life spanning multiple rounds, this watch justifies its place on both the golf course and the daily wear rotation. The certified refurbished status preserves full performance while reducing cost. For golfers serious about improvement and everyday users seeking a sports-capable smartwatch, the Approach S62 delivers on both fronts.
