Introduction
The Garmin ECHOMAP Ultra 2 10" Chartplotter delivers real-time sonar imaging and precision navigation in a single integrated marine display built specifically for serious anglers. This standalone display unit provides the foundation for LiveScope sonar compatibility, advanced mapping, and multi-band GPS positioning—making it the centerpiece of a modern fish-finding system once paired with an appropriate transducer.
Key Features
- 10-inch sunlight-readable touchscreen with high-contrast color display for operation in direct sunlight and variable lighting conditions
- LiveScope sonar-ready architecture supporting real-time underwater imaging when connected to compatible LiveScope transducers
- Preloaded Garmin Navionics+ mapping with daily chart updates and Auto Guidance+ route optimization technology
- Multi-band GPS receiver for positioning accuracy within 10 feet in standard conditions and improved satellite acquisition
- Wireless networking capability enabling data sharing and system redundancy across multiple ECHOMAP Ultra 2 units
- Optional UHD sonar bundle compatibility for enhanced scanning resolution and traditional CHIRP sonar functionality when required
Data Insights
The ECHOMAP Ultra 2 delivers up to 90% improved imaging clarity compared to traditional sonar-only systems, substantially increasing target definition and bottom structure visibility. This advancement in sonar rendering enables faster fish detection and more confident navigation decisions, particularly in complex underwater terrain where structural details determine fishing success.
Usage Instructions
Install the ECHOMAP Ultra 2 in an accessible helm position with clear sightlines to the display and easy reach to the touchscreen controls. Begin by familiarizing yourself with the dual-panel interface for switching between sonar and mapping modes. Use the Auto Guidance+ feature to calculate efficient, depth-aware routes, and leverage wireless networking to synchronize waypoints and fishing data across your fleet of compatible units. Note that a transducer must be purchased separately to enable sonar functionality.
Design & Material
The ECHOMAP Ultra 2 combines marine-grade engineering with an intuitive user interface designed for operation in unpredictable water conditions. The compact footprint and quick-disconnect mounting system simplify installation and removal, while the display's optical bonding and high-contrast rendering maintain readability regardless of glare or water spray.
- Rugged marine-grade polymer housing rated for sustained saltwater and freshwater exposure
